New and emerging Jinri, an American-Korean artist and producer, commissioned me to craft a new fresh identity for their musical realm. Drawing inspiration from distinct musical motifs prevalent in the industry, I designed a distinctive and enduring identity capable of evolving with the artist over time.

The core of the visual identity revolves around the circle. Functioning as the aesthetically cohesive element, the circle serves as the common thread linking all music genres. It transcends genre boundaries, appearing seamlessly in diverse styles like hip-hop and reggae. Building upon this concept, I crafted an identity focused on the dynamic rotation of the circle, visually intertwining various musical elements.

When the circle is incorporated at the edges of all platforms and surfaces, it connects the entire brand when placed next to each other. This results in a highly recognizable and adaptable identity.

Derived from traditional Korean letterforms and featuring crisp modern shapes, the logo embodies Jinri's musical and personal identity, reflecting the influence of growing up in both American and Korean cultures.

The circles also work well for a wide range of video content, from Instagram and Spotify visualisers to music videos. They emphasise the look and feel of how all musical formats behaves when played in the physical world.
